Committee Appointments

The Select Board will be making appointments Monday evening to the recreation committee, planning board, zoning board of adjustment, conservation commission, and historic committee. If you are interesting in serving please email the Select Board by noon on Monday.

Grant Awarded for Stormwater Management

The Select Board is pleased to announce that the Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP) has awarded the town a grant of $6,500 to assess its stormwater management standards and adopt model stormwater regulations (via public hearings and ballot votes).

The town has been identified as an MS4 regulated community which requires the town to come into compliance with US EPA stormwater management standards;  these are most commonly implemented by municipalities through zoning or regulations, requiring public hearings and ballot votes.

The Select Board will be acquiring the services of a consulting engineer to help guide this project.  We expect to conduct a public hearing this fall to introduce the town to the issues associated with the EPA stormwater management requirements.

Notice of Public Hearing

January 6th 2015

The Rollinsford Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 6th 2015 at the Rollinsford Town Hall at 7:30 PM to take Public Comment on a two proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments.

The first proposed zoning amendment is to amend Section 2.8 Commercial Vehicle to define a Commercial Vehicle as any vehicle larger than 1 ton truck GVW; or, any vehicle designed for use other than normal highway traffic. Currently any vehicle larger than a ½ Ton Truck is defined as a Commercial Vehicle,

The second proposed zoning amendment is to amend Section 2.21B Home Business to bring the definition of the number of non-resident employees allowed in line with the number allowed in Section 8.20B which is one nine non-resident employee.

Copies of the proposed changes are available for review at the Rollinsford Town Offices.

Openings on Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA)

The Select Board seeks volunteers who are interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Adjustment.   We are looking for one member plus an alternate member.

The Board does not have regular meetings.  Meetings are scheduled when the ZBA has a case to review.
