Meet the Moderator and Get Ready for SB2

Meet the Moderator and Get Ready for SB2 on January 26 at 6:30

Town meeting gives Rollinsford voters a chance to meet and greet their friends in town, to serve as legislators for the town and to have a direct impact on the decisions that affect them in town government.

The School District has a new moderator, Charlie Putnam, who lives on Sligo Road. He’ll be at the Town Hall at 6:30 to answer your questions about SB2, the deliberative session (the modified town meeting that voters adopted several years ago for the school district). He’d especially like to meet people who are new to Rollinsford or who have questions about the SB2 Deliberative Session. We’ll practice the simple skills to make you comfortable in the speaking, amending, and voting processes.

Please remember to mark your calendar to attend the school district deliberative session on Saturday, January 30 at 9 am.

Update from Rollinsford School Board RE: Marshwood Feasibility Study

On Thursday, May 7th, the School Board met in public session with Dr. Mark Joyce of the New Hampshire School Administrators Association. Dr. Joyce and his colleagues will be conducting a feasibility study regarding the option of sending additional students to the Marshwood Schools. (7th-12th graders will start attending Marshwood in September.) The initial phase of their work will be to determine the willingness of the Marshwood School Board to accept additional Rollinsford students. Work on the study will commence in late May, and will take several months to complete.
