Ice Cream Social

The York Ambulance Association, Inc. was asked to provide medical emergency transport for the citizens of South Berwick and Rollinsford, starting July 1.

Now, the York Ambulance Board of Directors invites you to an ice cream social where we will have an opportunity to get to know one another. The social will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 6-7:30 pm at the York Ambulance South Berwick Station, 71 Norton St. in South Berwick

York Ambulance Association will be showing off the new wheelchair van and there will be an ambulance for children to explore. The crew and board members will be on hand to explain the benefits of membership which now extends beyond the 911 emergency transports, to include non-emergency transfers and discounted rates for the wheelchair van service. Since insurance does not cover 100% of the bill, members are not charged the balance due.

A 911 emergency transport is when York ambulance takes a patient from any location to an emergency room for further care. A non-emergency transfer is when a physician orders the patient be moved from one health care facility to another, such as from a hospital to another hospital or to a nursing home or rehabilitation center. Patients always have the right to request York Ambulance.

Come and enjoy Aggie’s ice cream with us.
